Northgate
Northgate is one of Crawley's 14 residential neighbourhoods, sitting in the inner ring closest to the town centre and the second of these central neighbourhoods to be completed — almost all the building on its 168-acre site happened in the first half of the 1950s. It's bordered by West Green to the west, Langley Green to the north, Three Bridges to the east and the town centre and Southgate to the south, and was built with everything the 1940s masterplan called for, including churches, a pub, a shopping parade and a primary school. Some pre-New Town buildings still stand, including three with listed status and the locally listed Dyers Almshouses.
